I completed a clean install of Win95 on my TP755CD but there are anomalies
with the Enhanced Video. The problem is that, in the Win95 device manager,
there is a "?" where the Enhanced Video device should be, and there is an
error message that says the device is not installed. But, interestingly
enough, I was able to get it to work for both output and capture. (I found
the stand-alone vidcap.exe file by using a search with HOTBOT for
vidcap.exe. Someplace out there had it for download, though I didn't save
the site location. If anyone is interested, I will find it again).
I did comment out the device=IBMTPURA.VXD and added in
device=c:\v7320\v7320.386 in the 386enh section of system.ini.
Since things work, I am tempted to just leave it. But that doesn't seem
quite the right thing to do. Are there additional steps anyone out there
would recommend or has experience with to make it look like the Enhanced
Video is a real device for Win95? I have done the V7320 install from the
TP755CD V1.20 disks. And it looked like it was a real device in my old Win95
over original TP Win3.1 upgrade. I remember putting in some patches to make
Win95 recognize names of Mwave devices a long time ago, but I assume that
has been built into the new drivers (maybe I'm wrong there).
Thanks
