Just got off the phone with IBM's NT4.0 support group... It seems that since the 755CX is a withdrawn (read: no longer available) model, there is not currently a driver to support 16-bit colour at 800x600, nor will there ever be such a driver. Bummer. So it looks like I'll either have to stick with 8-bit, or go ahead and install NT4.0 on my TP760c, which unfortunately has less memory (24MB). Damn Damn Damn Damn.
