I've seen this too, mostly with Win95, sometimes with DOS, and a
couple times with Linux.

Go into the BIOS setup and make sure you have Suspend on Lid Close
set to yes.  When it won't wake up from suspend, close the lid and
wait 5-10 seconds for it to suspend again (you can watch the status
light).  Open the lid and it'll come out of suspend 99% of the time.

Whatever is going on seems to hang the keyboard, so you can't use
Fn-F4 to re-suspend.  Closing the lid seems to bypass the keyboard,
at which point the machine returns to a suspended state, ready to
wake up as good as new.  :)
