Re: dynamic dialup vs fixed ethernet IP in win95?

I don't see what the problem is. I have Win95 on my TP755CX as well as
the CJ3288 combo modem/ethernet, and I've never had these problems. I get
my address at work (ethernet) via DHCP and I use PPP at home. I *don't*
have any of my PPP DNS/routing/IP information in the Network control
panel applet - all of that is in my PPP settings.

I plug my laptop in at work, and he gets his IP address/information
automatically. I see no difference to having it setup via DHCP or
statically. It should still work. Each PPP connection has his own
settings, and that shouldn't interfere with Ethernet.

Oh, and don't even try to get the Megahertz combo working under NT 4.0. I
gave up after five calls to Megahertz support and days (weeks?) of trying
to get it going. I could either have the modem OR the ethernet configured
at one time. I'm not talking getting the modem and ethernet WORKING (ie,
online) at the same time, I'm just talking about having the modem
'available' (ie, seen by the system) when my ethernet was configured. And
vice-versa.
