Yes, it comes with an external connector, which is an unusual one that
requires a special cable from IBM. The internal SCSI system in the Dock I
is based on the 8-bit TMC/950 controller, which is an extremely poor
performer.

It would seem to be. The internal connectors are like nothing I've ever
seen, and I couldn't get a device mounted with "stock" brackets that you
might use in a desktop machine. Of course, the device you put in must be 1"
or less.

Seems to work OK, except for the poor performance. Because of the design
of the TMC/950, the CPU has to be extensively involved in supervising data
transfer operations, which really hurts (even on my 760C).

I ended up sticking an Adaptec 1542 into the expansion slot of my Dock I.
