The adapter plugs in and then on the other end it has two connectors labled mouse and keyboard. This adapter is not cheap from IBM (about $60). I was in Future Shop in Halifax last week and saw a no-name equivalent for about $20.00. You might find one if you have a Future Shop in St John's. Regards Robert Stevens
