after getting a bunch or private replies from folks to cc them on results of my request, I think might have to explain a bit to the 'newer' list members. About a year to a year and a half ago, a discusion about tweaking the internal 701 modem took place. There were some different command set strings that were proposed and that seemed to work for particular applications. I can not recall who exactly posted what, so I thougt I would post to te list. Alternatively, do we maintain an archive? I don't think so, but perhapse I have forgotten.
