Re: 701C Sound Problem



Well mine works fine so it is possible.(:
The 1st thing I'd do is go into your bios setup and make sure all the 
settings match in all the user port settings screens. Mine read as follows;

Stand Alone 	Audio System Settings	Port 0x220, IRQ 10, DMA 3
MultiPort II	Audio System Settings	Port 0x220, IRQ 10, DMA 3
Dock III	Audio System Settings	Port 0x220, IRQ 10, DMA 3


Then go into the control panel entry for ESS688 Audio Drive and make sure 
the 1st i/o range listed matches your port settings (mine is 0220-022f).
Also make the IRQ and DMA match your bios..

that should do it..
