Just wanted to drop my $.02 in. I had an old IBM bag (that came with a 700!), and it was great. I finally retired it this week, because the shoulder strap is almost ripped through, and I can't find anything that fits it. I went and bought a Targus Backpack this week, and so far the only complaint I have is the lack of padding in the interior compartment. The bottom of the case seems a little hard, so I am going to scavenge some of the padding from the old case. The internal compartment is padded, but not enough to survive what I put a bag through. BTW: The old IBM case I had was great! I've dropped my fair share of PC's (4-5) in it over the span of a few years, and only had one of them come out severly damaged. Not bad considering I transport about 75 laptops a year from site to site. RK
