Thinkpad won't shut down

Has anyone experenced any problems with the upgrading of the new system
bios for the 365XD? (P100,810HD,24RAM,DS)

Now whenever I shutdown the notebook down I get the usual windows screen
"Please wait while your computer shuts down" and then nothing. The
notebook should power down and shut off by itself but it doesn't.

Any ideas?
