In the States, IBM sells a preload CD for the 701C/701CS. With the least
expensive shipping method, I believe that it's US$46. Apparently IBM
Canada doesn't sell the Canadian version to Canadian end-users, if
another ThinkPad-mail recipient's experience is the rule there. I haven't
heard about attempts from other countries.

What are your current settings? I'm using Auto Suspend Timeout: Disabled;
Suspend on Lid Close: Yes; and Safe Suspend: Manual and Auto, and that
combination works fine for me (I also have 3O).
