Does anyone know if it is possible to get alternative or OEM (cheaper) versions of the ThinkPad DAA Telephony kit and telephone headset? In the UK I have been given silly prices; I am told the Telephony Kit (TO_DAAUK) is more or less just a cable/isolator as the modem is pre-installed and the IBM price is GBP 155.00. I have tried about 6 other manufacturers telephone headsets to no avail. I'm told this needs to have an active self-powered mic and the IBM offering (TO_HDSET) is GBP 116.00 Any suggestions/views would be appreciated. Many thanks, Chris Alba. cja@usa.net
