I am considering to buy an IBM ThinkPad 365. The only feature I don't like
is that the floppy disk drive is external on models with a CD-ROM. I would
prefer an internal FDD because I use disks much more often than CDs.
Is it possible to get a ThinkPad 365 with an internal FDD and an external
(or maybe even swappable) CD-ROM? I thought of buying a ThinkPad without
CD-ROM and upgrading it later. Would the CD-ROM then be external and how
much does the upgrade cost?
I am also interested in how current ThinkPad users see this issue. Does it
bother you that you have to carry around a separate FDD if you want to use
disks on the road?
Thank you for your help.
