Error 174 is a problem checking the installed devices. Most likely you need to update your BIOS - I have a 755CE and the latest update is for this very thing (2.1 gig disks). Someone just mentioned the web address to get this sort of thing from IBM (I don't have it handy though right now). Billy Y..
