340 PS2 command gone

I have an IBM 340 Thinkpad. I am having to run Win3.11 because I only have 4
MEG ram. I use this notebook for when I can't be at my desktop for E-mail
and Internet Access.

I had been using a bulky 14.4 Haynes original designed for a desktop that I
had plugged into the COM1 port (kind of defeats the purpose, doesn't it).

I got tired of dragging it around so I bought a Winsurfer 28.8 modem that
plugs into the PCMCIA port.

Then I had to track down the support software. Which I found on IBM's website.

Now that everything is installed, I still can't use my modem because
Internet Explorer keeps detecting the slow 2400 baud modem on the COM2 port
and the 28.8 is supposed to be setup on the COM3 port.

I tried to turn the modem off by using the PS2 command (PS2 IMODEM OF). But
the command is gone. I keep getting a "Bad command of filename" error.

Is there anyway to get it back? I tried surfing IBM's website using "PS2" as
the keyword but none of those programs I downloaded did any good.

Also, Where can I get the best deals on a 8 MEG upgrade for my laptop if I
want to upgrade to Windows 95?

Thanks.
