TP701 HD Upgrade Successful

Just to share some information for those of you who are think about doing it but can't get any compatibility assurance from IBM.
I have recently (last week actually) upgraded my 701C from its 540MB HD to a IBM 3LP 1.44GB drive. Other than getting the right tool to remove the screws from the caddy and the drive, the drive works the first time I plugged it into its bay. I noticed the ribbon cable connector on the caddy is even keyed so it's not possible to install the drive in the wrong orientation.
The only glitch that I find is that in Setup, it reports the drive as a 369MB drive instead of 1369MB. But FDISK recognize the entire drive capacity so it's nothing major. Apparently, the BIOS is hard coded to display only 3 digits of the HD capacity. I have the latest version BIOS (I think it's 13O or something).
I hope this will help who needs a little more assurance before doing their upgrade.

A question from me: Does anyone know a source where I can get an original IBM HD caddy for the TP701 (new or used)? IBM doesn't sell the caddy along; at least not to the public. I've found companies that sell third-party made caddies but I would prefer an original part if it's available. I want to use my old 540MB drive sometimes. Thanks.
