Hi all. I've finally installed redhat 4.1 on my thinkpad 560 and of
course I'm having problems with XFree86. It works fine using the SVGA
accelerator in 640x480 but I can't get it to work in 800x600 mode. I
compiled the cy9382 program and run it (cy9382 -b) but it just puts two
intense yellow stripes on my machine and the display locks up. Mine is
the dual scan 560 and the setups I've seen are for the TFT. I didn't
think there were any controller differences but I guess I'm wrong. Does
anyone have a dual scan 560 working with XFree86 3.2? Can you send me
your XF86Config file? Even in 640x480 mode, the screen is in "screen
expansion" mode which makes it look awful. Any idea how to turn this off?
I booted into win95 and turned it off there but somehow it turns back on
when booting linux. Thanks for the help!
