W95 Boot-up Problems

Since I installed Win 95 on my 760CD, it takes 3 or 4 attempts to boot properly.
1st few times it just stops at the memory check screen.  Very occasionally it goes straight into Windows.  Also, I have to do a cold reboot after putting it into resume/suspend if I'm network connected.  Any ideas would be welcome.
