To test if my desktop monitor, or my desktop video card is the reason my
screen goes dark for an apparent reason (and with no apparent pattern) the
monitor maker (Nokia) suggests attaching the monitor (17" model 447X) to a
different computer.
the only other computer that's convenient for me to do this with is my
TP701c, which I bought last winter and use strictly as a backup device.
the TP did not come with full documentation, so I'm reaching out here for
help on what I need to do, if anything, before just attaching the port
replicator to the back of the TP and plugging the monitor cable in.
