Just a curiosity: while web surfing, I found a series of new drivers for
my TP365XD had been posted at IBM's support site (dated 4/97). I dutifully
down loaded them (audio, video, system utilities & IR -- I have been
relying on Win95 alone for PCMCIA support and have seen no need for the IBM
card director). Already had the Feb BIOS on board.
After the installation, no big surprise: I can't tell any difference at
all!! Except for one very minor thing -- bootup now seems to take a little
longer. I'd guess about 15-30 seconds (or so) more. I'd like to learn a
little more and was wondering if anyone had any ideas about why this may
have happened. Certainly NOT a big deal!!
Ken
PS Don't know if it makes a difference, but I was using/am still using
Win95 OSR2 with FAT32 after a complete hard disk reformat that was
accomplished some time ago. Both the CONFIG.SYS and AUTOEXEC.BAT files are
empty -- before & after driver installation.
