Actually, you can get a "kit" to attach a TFT to your desktop using a 8 bit (mono) or 16-bit (mono, stn, dstn, tft)
on your desktop using a compatible LCD and the controller card. In fact, as I speak I have one of these kits
attached to a test system that I used to perfom tests on an old Seagate 20meg drive. I was supposed to get
the TFT kit, but there were some discrepensies in the deal I worked out with the owner of this company that I
wasn't aware of. I actually traded in what I was told was a proprietary TFT LCD (which I sort of wish I had
kept, though I needed a VGA monitor, and at that time, a CRT was more expensive than a trade-in). So
apparently, this company decided to send me a mono lcd, which is "okay", but I wasn't very satisfied. If you
are interested though, they are called Earth Computer Technologies, based in Mission Viejo, California. Their
website is somewhere on Netcom, though I forgot where.
