I have a 701cs and can still play wave files, midi, etc., but my internal speaker is shot. All I remember is that it
stopped working after using AOL for Win3.11 one day. I don't know if they were related, but that's what I
remember. I got the speaker to work a few times several months ago by poking it with a screw driver, but it
really doesn't respond all that well. You could take it in for Easyserve, but they may use you as the
scapegoat, as in my situation of sending it in last week, and having nothing repaired.
