Merlin definitely needs more disk space, and feels as if it needs more 
memory. My 755CD with 840 Meg and 16 Meg respectively seems to be a bit 
creaky, but runs ok. With a 701 and therefore no cdrom, guess you won't 
run into my pcmcia problem. But I do have some as yet unresolved concerns 
about the power management - does not seem to suspend properly when I 
shut the lid. There are also a couple of things to watch out for with the 
mwave/dsp kit, but that does not affect the 701.
