I've never seen a DSTN screen that I liked, especially when it comes to
rapid update of the display (e.g. scrolling down a Word document). TFT, in
my opinion, is better than most monitors. As far as the keyboards go, the
only advantage I could see with a Toshiba Tecra over the 760 I eventually
bought was the keyboard seemed much nicer on the Toshiba. However, with
use, the 760 keyboard has loosened up wonderfully and is now just perfect.
Remember, of course, that for a relatively small sum, you can always attach
an external keyboard. External monitors are a bit more pricey, and to be
honest it has to be good to be as sharp as a TFT unless you prefer size
over quality.
