SB 16 MWave hangup

 Hi all;

I recently installed a newer version of Win 95 (Build 1111 B).  After doing
so I had to re-install my thinkpad software, putting in the latest MWave
(2.25).

I followed the directions and had it find the DSP device, then 33.6 modem,
etc., but as soon as it recognizes the soundblaster 16, everything freezes.
I then have to boot up in safe mode and remove all the software.  I've done
this numerous times with the same result.

I then thought it must be the newer MWave, so went back and installed ver
2.22 - same symptom.  Hence, I am now questioning the slightly newer version
of Win 95.

I called IBM tech support and they just had me re-initialize the bios and
check the DSP from the TP setup screen.  Everything checked out.

If anyone has had a similar experience, or any clue about a solution, I
would appreciate hearing from you.
