My unhappy experience dealing with Iomega on my desktop forces me to advise
against doing business with them.
When a problem arose under Win95 getting the Iomega drive to be properly
represented by its icon in My Computer, I encountered poorly trained tech
support by phone (on my dime) and extremely slow response after faxing them
a variety of files (why they preferred fax over email I cannot recall).
I ended up returning the unit, and have been getting by without a zip
drive. I'll probably buy another, but it won't be from Iomega. I've also
read stories about them dumping a bunch of U.S. workers in favor of
overseas (cheap) labor, which doesn't endear them to me either.
