Just don't leave the printed paper in the sun, etc., which nixs the thermal
for me. It isn't exactly portable, just small, but I have a little Star
thermal transfer printer that works well. I think you really need to see
what the output of a printer looks like before you buy into a new
technology.

BTW anybody need a nice low usage Printronix P300 for their portable? (I
have one, but this is a joke for those who don't know a P300 is a line
printer for a minicomputer. It does have wheels though, so technically its
portable).
