Try changing the printer port to EPP or standard. I had a problem with slow 
printing to a HP LaserJet 4P when I have it set to ECP. Setting it back to EPP 
fixed it.

Has anyone else had success printing from a 701 using an epson stylus
800?  It's an awesome printer but is horribly slow when using the 701C.
The printer is fine and works well with my desktop PC, Macs and 760 but
the 701 is slow.  All machines have exactly the same software. This
problem has been chewing at my for a feew weeks. The Epson techs
couldn't figure it out either.
