760ED TV Out Problem
Hi,
I have a little problem with my TV out display on my 760ED. What
happens is when I press Fn+F7 I see the display on the TV for about 2
seconds and then the screen goes black. I had the tech at IBM stumped.
Anyone know what might be doing it? I am running Direct X drivers (the
ones someone on here suggested that I use for the 760) and have had no
problems until a couple of days ago. The only new software that I
installed was Red Alert, but I did *not* install the Direct X drivers
when it asked me, so no system (driver wise) changes were done. I also
installed a Megahertz Ethernet PCMCIA card, but I don't see how that
would cause my problem. Card is on IRQ 9 and video is on IRQ 11.
Barring, a complete reinstall of the system, does anyone have any ideas
what I could try? I am running Win 95 (A version). I tried removing
the card as well as rebooting and had no luck. I have been able to
output to this specific TV in the past and even played Direct X games on
this TV (i.e. Battleship). While my $6,000 laptop is not for games, it
is the only Pentium PC that I own, so I do use it for that (among other
things). <G>
Thanks in advance for any help,
Mike Bernstein
