I just bought a IBM Thinkpad 755Cs used. It only came with the Type I docking station, no manuals, no software, no power adapter. The only thing on the hard drive is the bare essentials to just boot up with. I also have the docking station which I need for power (battery will not hold charge). I am wondering where or if I could get a copy of all the thinkpad specific drivers/software/etc. I tried getting the missing software/manuals from IBM but they just gave me the usual run-around I always get with every other thing i need drivers or a disk for. The system configuration of the Thinkpad 755Cs is 486dx 33mhz, 4mb ram, 163 mb HD, 2.88 FDD. I went through the IBM web pages looking for some stuff for it but only came up with a hand full of files and none are what i need. If i could get a set of the original disks it would sure help. Being a student and seeing this laptop for $500 I jumped on the opportunity to get it. Unfortunatly the used computer store where i bought it had none of the missing items, and the computer service company where I work did not have anything that could help me out. I just want to be able to get it at a factory setup on the hard drive and then i will use my zip drive for more storage. If anyone could send me a copy of the disks compressed with pkzip for dos with the command line to the effect of... PKZIP -EX -R -P TP-DISK1.zip A:\*.* and what the label of each disk said so i can make a set.
