Does anyone know where I can get the software which allows my OEM Thinkpad
701c 14.4 modem to answer voice calls and fax/data calls. I bought it
recently but it had no IBM software installed. I have scoured the IBM net
site with no luckk and have tried SuperVoice, Biware, and Winfax Pro 8.0 and
none will successfully get it to answer calls with a voice message since it
apparently doesn't use a Rockwell or Cirrus Logic voice chip. Right now I am
tying up one of my PC card slots with a PCMCIA voice fax modem and would like
to avoid that if possible. Buy the way ("BTW"!!), I have a UK model 701c
which didn't ship with the internal modem installed. A new one from IBM is
over $300. Does anyone have a spare from a dead 701c they'd like to sell?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
