You must mean the Adaptec MiniSCSI Plus cable. I used it with my old
Toshiba T1910CS notebook and attached a Reno CD-ROM drive. Windows 95
recognizes the MiniSCSI cable and loads the proper drivers. My CD was then
treated just like any other drive. It worked well, if not as fast as a true
SCSI device. Also it is not hot swappable; you have to shut down and reboot
the system if you want to add or subtract anything attached to the cable,
otherwise the system hangs.
