Hi, I have a 365XD and a HP Laserjet 5MP with an IrDA port. Does anyone know how I can get the two to work together under Win95? The printer only came with DOS and Win 3.1 software, but the HP web site implies that IrDA support is built in under Win 95. The only requirement is that it be IrDA 1.0 compliant. The Thinkpad manual doesn't speak of IR printers specifically, but does say that it is IrDA compliant. I have enabled the IR port under Win95 as COM1 (disabling the serial port), installed the HP 5MP printer driver under COM1, but can't print a test page. The light on the HP receiver never blinks to indicate a connection. There is no information from HP about serial communications parameters - just that it is 115Kb/s capable. (The Win 95 Device Manager doesn't indicate any conflicts.) Does anyone have any suggestions? (I won't even dream about asking about Linux-IrDA yet!) Thanks in advance! Steve Dew sdew@ee.ualberta.ca
