On my ThinkPad 380 with Windows 95, MIDI files are played with constant variations in the volume. I cannot get a long steady tone, instead the volume will be slightly up and down which makes music appear choppy. To visualize what I mean: instead of "------" I get "-_-_-_". Other sound files, such as WAV or MPEG audio, play just fine. I would appreciate any advice on how to fix this problem. Thank you for your help. Friedrich Huebler huebler@ibm.net
