power-on passwords

Procedures for removing power-on passwords used to be documented
in the Thinkpad hardware ref manuals, but seem to have been removed
in the last few weeks.  They vary from model to model but go
along the lines of shorting two pins together near the SIMM socket.
I knew I should have saved copies of that stuff :(((
