  After running a 3 line BBS for about 5 years I got to know the sounds
pretty well.  =)

  Correct.  You also always have full speed with ISDN.  Which either means
64Kbits per channel, or 56Kbits [effective] per channel depending on
whether certain telco equipment is somewhere in the channel.  Often the
same 56Kbit equipment used for switched-56 is used to haul ISDN data as
well.
