I've been having a new problem on my 701CS and Win95 (not the OSR2) that
has me baffled.
If I use my Thinkpad as standalone (either booting that way or having
un-docked it from my Multiport II), then re-attach to my Multi-port II,
my printer (on LPT 1) doesn't work. Going into Device Manager, under
Ports, shows 2 LPT1, one with the settings and address for my
floppy/parallel port (which is normally LPT2 when docked) and the other
for my regular parallel port. When I reboot everything works fine until
I un-dock and re-dock again.
In the "Device Usage" area on the General page for the LPT1, I have
tried both checking and unchecking the "undocked" box and that doesn't
seem to have made a difference. It seems like something is not changing
ports as it should when I undock and redock, but it had worked perfectly
for a year before this started happening.
Have you experienced anything like this. Any ideas for a solution?
Thanks for any help!
Rich Joseph
