Yes, the 16550 pinout is the same as the 8250 and 16450. I said the 16650 [which isn't by NS as far as I know] uses a different pinout. I also have heard of one with a 1K FIFO [might have been 2K] but I don't recall a part number for it. I think Startech makes them. I know they make 2 port and 4 port versions of the 16550 called the 16552 and 16554.
