Seems like my 701c is getting noisier. There's this low-key whir, sorta
like the sound a vacuum cleaner makes when it sucks up a patch of dirt,
then goes over a clean, smooth bit, then hits a dirty patch again. Very
steady, mild, cyclical vibration that maybe was always there, but seems
louder somehow. The unit has never been totally silent, and I'm not sure
what to make of this. I think there's time left on the warranty (it was
built 1/96). I'm the second owner. Have never used EZ-Serve, though I've
read lots about it (good and bad) off this list...
Any thoughts on my best move?
Another issue:
I have a screen saver (3D pipes) set to kick in after 1 minute. With the ac
adaptor plugged in, the screen saver stops after a minute or two, and the
screen turns black. When I tap the eraser cap, the screen saver returns. Is
this normal behavior?
If it matters, I'm running Win95 w/24 megs of ram.
Thanks in advance.
Peter
