Maybe it is Christmas cookie crumbs...
My 701 hinge is stiff and squeaks.  What is the approved method and material?

While I'm at it what is the procedure for keyboard service.  In both cases I
am concerned as I don't want to affect my warranty.  Has anyone asked IBM?  

I did ask them a while back about the mushy feel of the left Trackpoint
button and their response was that it might be failing and I could send it
in for service...they didn't recommend a cleaning method but I didn't think
to ask at the time.
