The answer is yes, the card can work under OSR2 but you have to replace the Windows\System files CARDDRV.EXE, CSMAPPER.SYS, FLS1MTD.VXD, FLS2MTD.VXD, PCCARD.VXD, SOCKETSV.VXD, and SRAMMTD.VXD with the same files from the original release of Windows 95. Microsoft changed the PC card support under OSR2 in a way that broke IBM's unsupported Windows 95 driver and the only way to get the card to work is to revert these Microsoft files to their original versions. The rest of OSR2 doesn't seem to suffer any side effects as a result of replacing these files.
