Audio on ThinkPad 360PE (750P)

For my "question of the week":

I have the audio feature on my TP360PE and it's working fine. It's
using a file called IBMMME.DRV, which is a Windows 3.1 driver. However,
Win95 says it's running optimally. Is this DRV file 32-bit, does anyone
know?

Also, I've never been able to display the Win95 sound control applet on
my taskbar. If I try to run it, it tells me there aren't any mixer
devices installed. If I go into Multi Media settings and double click
the mixer device, it says one isn't installed and to go to add/remove
programs.

I know I specifically asked for all the applets that come with Win95
(even those that aren't checked by default don't you know). Is this a
compatibility issue? Is there any mixer device out there that I could
use? I just like having the sound control/mute running in the task
bar. I have the Win 3.1 audio applet that lets you control audio
volume, but it's difficult to use.

Anyway, just wondering...
