Re: Thinkpad 770

My notebook is far too mobile for this to be a viable alternative. One
of the reasons that I use a notebook is to have an absolutely consistent
computing interface, regardless of whether I am in a plane, train, or
at home :-)

So far though, the 770 keyboard seems excellent. THe space bar is
occasionally a bit noisy, but overall, the best notebook keyboard
I have seen so far, but I guess one should reserve judgment till
I have pounded on it a couple of months.

I must say, I find it quite remarkable to prefer NOT to run at maximum
brightness all the time.

By the way, I am getting about 2 hours 50 minutes from the batteries
(that's with two 64meg mem modules installed).
(and of course everything on high power, no power saving stuff, except
for the screen, which is at normal rather than bright intensity).
(quite bright enough for almost any use).
