I'm having trouble running a PCMCIA moden and
was wpondering whether anyone had trouble with PCMCIA modems under this
 version of OS/2.

What version, 3 or 4? What kinds of problems? The Toast and Jam, is
that a Bus Toaster card? There are drivers available for it
somewhere; I have no personal experience with it.

Anyway, for the modem: Open Hardware Manager (Warp4) and check to
make sure the IRQ and base address you want to use are available.
Next, open the Plug and Play for PCMCIA folder and run AUTOUTL2.EXE.
If you have any modems listed in the box on the right, highlight them
and click the Delete button. Now highlight the modem you want to use
on the left and click Edit. In the settings dialog that comes up,
enter the IRQ you wish to use (use direct entry, the dropdown list
only gives you a choice of 3 or 4) and save it. Save everything and
reboot your machine. You should now be able to use your modem card.
