Hey guys - I was wondering if anybody can lend a hand with a quick problem.
I am running OS2 relese Win95 on a 365XD - recently I found that I wasn't
able to "sync" my palmpilot throught the serial port. Everything I tried
did not restore it. I wiped the drive and reinstalled windows fresh.
Voila - same thing. The setup program automatically detects 4 ports -
either listed as Not Available or "attached to a modem" (even when the
modem is removed physically and not). In the system devices it shows com2,
com1 serial IR, and LPT1 - they are all listed as OK.
I know that on other computers I have used you can get into the startup
screen at boot and configure com ports (my friends new netbook laptop for
example - as crappy as it is). Does anybody have a suggestion???
Oh yah - one other thing - I am installing a PCethernet card tomorrow to
run adsl (4MBps!!!) from home - I assume this will require the use of a com
port???
Thanks
