No one is suggesting that notebooks might appear that are AC only. On the contrary, the trend has been to lower power usage and longer battery life (it is very nice to get 3 hours from a battery instead of 2 on previous TP's). One thing that will be nice is when the 12V DC power receptacles become universal on planes etc. this will cut down on the number of batteries we long-distance travellers (I just returned from a 30,000 mile air trip) have to carry :-) I suggest that when you "hear" something, you make a bit of effort to find out if it has any substance before posting it on the internet, it is amazing how fast rubbish rumours can spread fueled by ignorance and lack of facts!
