Correct.  I don't know exactly how they work (or rather how to explain them, since I'm
thinking about several other things simultaniously), but it allows EIDE drives to
be used on regular IDE controllers.

And David, about LBA, I've never seen a HD that ONLY works on LBA.  I'm pretty
sure it has to do with the drives parameters and how it's addressed, but not with
the IDE/EIDE size barrier.
