Hi,

I am a proud owner of this beauty which for some time has been suffering
from the error I have also put in the subject of the message.
 
Question: 
How do you fix it? Can you do this by yourself or does it
require a service intervention? I know how to fix it temporarily, but it
keeps switching to a wrong setting, 05/01/84. It simply cannot maintain
the current time and date for longer. 

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
