Well (with some trepidation) I pressed the Netscape button that says
do an automatic update of my system with the latest drivers).

It did about 20 automatic reboots during the installation which was a bit
alarming, and one of them hung (I just powered down and powered up and
all was fine), and the installation seems to have worked.

I can't really tell if it loaded new video drivers or not, but I can report
that so far, I have not seen any anomolies. Presumably posting this message
will cause them to immediately happen if they are still there, so we wlil
see :-)
