TFT is generally much easier on the eyes for long periods, which is why I do
most of my text processing on laptops nowadays. However, CRTs are still head
and shoulders above even the best TFT monitors for accurate color work.
Also, remember that you can't change dot pitch on an LCD screen. For
example, many games want standard VGA resolution. On a CRT, you can set the
resolution to 640x480 and fill the whole screen with your image. On the TFT
screen, this image will either appear in a tiny box in the center, or be
expanded to something chunky and ugly.
